Atlas Festival: an editorial site where the photography does the talking. Images are served in modern formats at the size each screen needs.

Every page was designed on a strict grid, then loosened where the content asked for it. Content was written first and the layout followed it.

Small details, like the focus styles and empty states, got as much care as the hero.
Motion is used to explain changes of state, never to decorate.

Pages stay light, so they load quickly even on a patchy connection.
